(FOOTHILL RANCH) - Prominent Southern California coach, scout and player personnel executive Grady Tucker will direct the WDFL's Pacific Coast Division Open Combine, hosted by the SoCal Coyotes, at Motiv-8 Performance Center this Saturday, July 22.

There is no charge to compete in the open combine. Motiv-8 Performance Center is located at 19681 Da Vinci in Foothill Ranch, California. Registration is 12-1 p.m. Combine drills will ensue from 1-5 p.m. Players must wear plain white t-shirt, black or navy shorts, and bring indoor and outdoor shoes. No hats, skull caps or branded attire (shirts, caps or shorts of any kind). Dress code strictly enforced.

Participants will receive standard measurables in bench press, vertical and broad jump, shuttles, 40 time, and more. Qualified players will be equally dispersed to remaining roster spots on the California Sharks and Los Angeles Scorpions for the upcoming World Developmental Football League fall season.

Prospects can expect "professionalism and transparency throughout the process," Tucker said. "We are excited to build trust, relationships and mutual respect with players, coaches, scouts and administrators."

Tucker is the former director of scouting/quality control and assistant coach for the Los Angeles Kiss (AFL).  Currently assistant head coach and director of player personnel at Los Angeles Southwest College, Tucker has extensive NFL, CFL and Arena personnel and combine expertise, relied upon by pro scouts.

Coyote team president Don West Jr. said the appointment of Tucker, who has participated with a host of NFL, CFL and other professional combines, is evidence of the Coyotes' ongoing commitment to developing fair and equitable competition.

"We are thrilled to have Coach Tucker as a part of our combine," said West. "We are committed to the development of these other teams and to achieving a high level of competition on the field with a quality sense of parity."

Coyote staff and captains will serve as assistants under Coach Tucker.
